Fotografie

The only goal of this short trip was to relax. And the goal was achieved!
I stayed in the beautiful "Seaside Resort" near Agia Pelagia. I already knew this area and so I knew about the beauty and charm of this place.
My activities unfortunately came to an abrupt end when I got a sun allergy for the first time and couldn't go out in the sun very often. It was also extremely hot!
One time I took the bus to Heraklion and explored the world-famous fortress at the Venetian harbor. That was very beautiful and interesting.
Overall, the capital was too crowded and the temperature made any movement difficult.
Due to the allergy, I often enjoyed the bar in the hotel and neglected planned photo excursions. That's why this album has an unusually large number of cell phone photos. Sorry!
Sometimes things turn out differently than you think.

Every year I look forward to the water lilies blooming in the Wilhelma in Stuttgart.
The water lily pond in the Moorish garden is beautiful and a wonderful display of colors. Unfortunately I was there a little too early. But there were some flowers to see and the swamp chicken were kept busy by their offspring. Wonderful to watch!
I also had to photograph a few other plants.
All photos in this series are not in a separate album, but in the general album "Wilhelma". I hope you enjoy the photos!

Myakka River State Park is a state park in Sarasota County, Florida, United States. The 37,000-acre (147 km²) park is located 20 miles southeast of Sarasota and 9 miles east of Interstate 75 and is one of the largest and oldest state parks in Florida.
Along the Myakka River there are swamps, wetlands and incredibly beautiful vegetation with countless animal species.
The park is not easy to understand. But it offers great opportunities to explore the typical wilderness of the area. Alligators can also be seen everywhere.
I have been there several times and have never regretted it. Even though the Myakka Outpost is often crowded, there is enough to see and experience with the Birdwalk and the Canopy Walkway.
It is advisable to leave the main paths. But be careful! You can get lost quickly. A good GPS device is definitely a good idea.
