Fotografie

Leaving Apalachicola westbound, you come to Cape San Blas. There is a small but worth seeing section of the beach called Stumphole. Definitely worth seeing! Albeit easy to miss. You have to park on the street.
Then continue on the St. Joseph Peninsula to the T.H. Stone Memorial Saint Joseph Peninsula State Park. Kilometers of sandy beaches and great nature make you forget time.
On the way back I made a quick stop at Salinas Park in the bay San Blas. The difference between the public beach and the protected state park beaches is easy to see.

Apalachicola is a sleepy little town with southern charm.
I like the character of the city. But unfortunately tourism is constantly increasing and so I am glad to have known the city in earlier days.
Alcohol consumption in public has increased. And that has never been a good thing in America or elsewhere.
Nevertheless, I love the small town and would continue to visit it.

St. George is a barrier island 28 miles (45 km) long and 1 mile (2 km) wide at its widest point. St. George Island is adjacent to Cape St. George Island, also known as Little St. George Island. It is connected to the mainland at Eastpoint, Florida by the 4-mile (6.4 km) long St. George Island Bridge over Apalachicola Bay. Nearby towns include Eastpoint, Carrabelle, and Apalachicola.
For me, St. George Island has one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. And I love the south! The feeling of the south is good for me!

This year I visited the Christmas Garden in Stuttgart's Wilhelma again. And again after the Christmas holidays to avoid the crowds.
This time too it was a beautiful, colorful and romantic event!
Unfortunately it was so cold that we had to walk quickly to stay warm. A very good hot Caipirinha was helpful.
All photos in this series are hand-held. Without a tripod! That's why the quality is as it is. But I was happy with much of the result.
I am looking forward to the next time!
