Fotografie

The memorial is an authentic Cold War site and a unique testament to four decades of contemporary history.
This is where the outposts of NATO and the Warsaw Pact stood face-to-face until 1990.Point Alpha – An Unforgettable Historical Witness!
The Point Alpha Memorial offers numerous opportunities to explore the very place where the Third World War could have broken out at any moment.
I can only advise everyone to explore this place and not to forget the history!

This is the second set of photos from my brief trip to Thuringia and Hesse.
And I was absolutely delighted by everything I saw! Beautiful towns and the historic Wartburg Castle.
I really need to go back there soon.

Our dear friends in Saalfeld, Thuringia, showed us the divided village of Mödlareuth and shared many fascinating stories from the GDR era. Experiencing something like this alongside eyewitnesses is a truly unique experience.
From Saalfeld, we traveled on to the Paulinzella Monastery.
A truly atmospheric visit.
This is the first album from my short trip to Thuringia and Hesse, tracing the path of the Inner German Border.

Photographed during a visit to the Wilhelma Zoo during the magnolia blossom season.
For me, the magnolias are the sign of coming spring. And every year I look forward to it.
This time I tried to manage with just my new Rollei 85mm F1.8. It wasn't easy and takes practice. But the bokeh and the handling were perfect! I already love my new lens. And of course, the magnolias!
As is usually the case at the Wilhelma, other objects also came into view this time.
