Seit ich 1988 "Gorillas im Nebel" im Kino sah, gehört meine ganze Liebe dem Schutz und der Erforschung der Berggorillas.
Dafür unterstütze ich Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund so gut ich kann!
Diese Besonderen Tiere dürfen nicht aussterben! Und dazu gehört auch die Hilfe für die Menschen, die in diesen Gegenden Leben. Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund hilft auch da. Und deshalb ist es für mich die Institution, denen ich helfen möchte.

We have great news, even amidst a crisis in the DRC.
Grauer’s gorillas are included on the 25-most-endangered primates list and have been classified as “critically depleted” on the IUCN Green Status Assessment. Yet, we have a fresh dose of hope: an additional 445 square kilometers has officially received legal recognition from the government, meaning additional protection for Grauer’s gorillas.

Alone in the Forest: The Hidden Lives of Solitary Silverbacks!
Even though gorillas are highly social animals, silverbacks often live on their own. Why is solitary living so common in a male gorilla's life?
For three of the four types of gorillas, only one adult male is present: the dominant silverback. This structure naturally prompts younger males to disperse and attempt to establish their own group by attracting females from other families.
